"Your wounds are evidence of your life"
I truly believe the most beautiful parts of you are seen in the depths of pain experienced personally in this world.
It sounds awful when read aloud, but when experienced it's understood with time.
When I've been in these seasons of pain and heartache, whatever the outcome and however the scares appear, I find myself in the end carrying myself differently. Somehow the journey through darkness and emotion creates a healthy maturity in me.
We are all marked and carry the presence of something.
So what is it that you carry?
Someone else’s burdens?
Your own burdens?
We weren’t created to carry a weight of this world, we were created to carry a message to the world -of the One person who’s perfect peace and love can change every persons life.
Jesus.
And His message and presence isn't heavy in the physical, it's weighty in the spiritual. It's important in the eternal and it's pure joy in the present. It's a kinda of scent of freedom hard to explain but quickly understood when experienced.
So whatever your season. Wherever you find yourself, let me encourage your spirit. You are built to live in this world among the chaos but with the mantel of your maker proudly carried.
"So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you." Romans 12:1-2
