Burford Beginnings — Something Authentic

Sorry I've been busy my little sister got married.

This is what I wrote on their wedding day.

One of the most beautiful things about marriage is it’s a beginning. It’s a fresh start. It’s the beginning of many firsts and many learnings. It’s a noted time to reminisce about one day and swoon about. It’s a memory logged away with the weighty expectation of forever.

When I think about marriage I think about commitment, support and trust. Binding connections and unexplainable sacrifice.

And to be truthful and to be honest through the last 2 years when Kyle came into Ashley’s life I’ve seen a beautiful map of these descriptions start to develop. I feel like I’ve been watching from the window seeing the beauty of relationship unfold with the solid groundings of loving Jesus.

I remember when Ashley first called me to tell me about this guy Kyle. She had a little twinkle in her voice with a serious undertone of expectation. Knowing Ashley she had throughly “surveyed the guy” before even thinking about talking to him. And what I think is the cutest part of the whole #burfordbeginnings is that Kyle didn’t think he had a chance with Ashley. Seeing her from afar though her beauty might be obvious but I think he knew there was some real gold within that girl and she’s already be snatch up by now.

But the other incredible part of their story is that they’ve from the very beginning pursued each other equally with grace and affection and true admiration for the greatest they could become on their own.

And now together I don’t doubt as names are changed and mantle are obtained that Kyle and Ashley Burford will carry the heritage of unity well and of the name of Jesus will be known because of the love you pursue and the Creator who pursues you everyday.

Cheers to years of bliss and a journey only the two of you can take, may God get all the glory in the entirety of your lives as you love without limited in the lineage of this Burford legacy.
