Attention: What has your ATTENTION
it’s been hard for me lately to slow down my mind.
There has been so many changes in my life and in the world in the last few months it’s felt like a lot. And frankly it’s just felt easier to keep going then to stop, calm myself down to focus and then deal with the unsettled settling of the heart and soul.
But I’m doing this today.
Stopping.
Breathing.
&
Beginning Again.
Which got me thinking about all the things that have been grabbing for my attention. The constant push pull of the world, human emotions, environment and community. It’s exhausting, it really is.
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? Matthew 6:25-27
As I move thru these emotions and learn new disciplines in following Christ—I’m frequently reminded that the best way for me to operate as a Christian is to lean in & rely on God. Because the stark reality is life lived with me in control, is empty and unfruitful.
Yet with Christ at the center and in full pursuit, all things will work together for His good.
And HIS good is what good for me.
